Gretchen Knutson, DBA - Founder & CEO
Dr. Gretchen Knutson is an operations executive and strategic advisor with deep experience guiding organizations through complexity and change. She has led large-scale operational growth across startups and Fortune 100 companies, including UnitedHealthGroup, Optum, Medica, R1 RCM (formerly Accretive Health), Park Nicollet, and Delta Dental. Her expertise covers building systems, launching technology developing teams that scale with purpose and clarity.
With a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) focused on healthcare access and workforce dynamics, Gretchen brings a grounded, data-informed approach to diagnosing operational gaps, aligning strategy and execution, and driving measurable performance improvement. After decades in Corporate America, she founded Knutson Advisory Group to support small companies and start-ups in strengthening their operations, simplifying execution, and sustaining success.
Known for a calm and steady leadership presence, Gretchen partners closely with executives to create structure, empower people, and deliver lasting results. When she’s not helping teams and operations scale, she’s likely mentoring or coaching an up-and-coming leader, globe-trotting with her husband, enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck, or playing with her dogs. But she is always learning, always curious, always growing.
